Artist Spotlight - Northern Blend Chorus
This month’s Artist Spotlight, Northern Blend Chorus, is an all female-identifying singing group that is currently recognized as Harmony, Inc.’s first place International Champion Chorus. The chorus, which joined Harmony, Inc. in 1985, is composed of members ranging in age from 12 to 88 coming from as close as Watertown, NY to as far away as Montreal, Canada and Ithaca, NY. Members also span many musical backgrounds from current music teachers, such as director Katie Taylor, to those who perform as a hobby and learn music by ear.
Artist Spotlight - Ethan Espey
Meet our April 2023 Artist Spotlight, Ethan Espey. Ethan is a musician with a positive attitude who can play drums, guitar, bass, and can sing. He was born and raised in Texas but moved 8 years ago to the Lyme School District, of which he is currently a senior.

For our March 2023 Artist Spotlight, we are thrilled to highlight the three-piece sibling rock band out of Tug Hill, Undefeated. The band features Meredith Dunckel on guitar and vocals, Christian Dunckel on drums, and Lis Dunckel on bass.

Artist Spotlight - Katie Taylor
As students and teachers return to school, we are excited to feature a music teacher, Katie Taylor, as our September Artist Spotlight. Mrs. Taylor has taught music at Alexandria Central School for the past 25 years. Since Alex Bay is a small district, Mrs. Taylor teaches students from Pre-K to 12th grade. She teaches general music, chorus, music theory, and theater classes as well as directs the musicals.

This month, we are excited to be featuring a dancer, Ezra “Ekelakealani” Gonzales, who specializes in hula dancing, as our August Artist Spotlight. Ezra is the owner and hula instructor at The Vine Hula School Na Kalāʻauhihilani in Watertown, NY.

Artist Spotlight - J. Jake Thomas
Our June Artist Spotlight, J. Jake Thomas, is a ‘triple threat’: a talented actor, singer, and dancer. Jake is a Watertown native and is currently attending Nazareth College, where he will receive his BFA in musical theater in May of 2014.
