Our Vision

What We Stand For

We believe in providing programs to best serve the cultural and artistic needs of the Northern New York community.

We believe every person should have the opportunity to engage with the performing arts in any way that interests them: singing, playing an instrument, dancing, theatre, etc.

We believe the right to learn and succeed in the performing arts should not be hindered due to the availability of resources.

We believe in flexibility in responding to the ever-changing, dynamic performing arts environment in Northern New York.

We believe in supporting and collaborating with performing arts organizations to elevate the performing arts sector in the Northern New York region.

We believe every performing artist has a story to tell that merits the utmost respect.

We believe performing artists deserve a platform for sharing their unique artistic vision.

We believe in appreciating the abilities of artists, the value of audiences, the generosity of supporters, the dedication of volunteers, the efforts of the Board of Directors, and the integrity of the Northern New York community.

Performing Venues

HarmoNNY is thrilled to be taking over The Strand Theater and using it as a performing arts space. The space is perfectly situated in Downtown Watertown and will be adjacent to Jefferson Community College’s Small Business Development Center and Coworking Space. We plan to host local and touring acts ranging from music to dance to comedy to theater. Check out this video on our involvement in The Strand.

HarmoNNY also strives to see current performance venues thrive, as a way to encourage more establishments to start booking performing arts entertainment.

Arts Access

It may just be the gift of music, or dance, or theater that changes a life.

HarmoNNY aims to provide access to performing arts resources in Northern New York. Through educational opportunities, programs, and resources in the performing arts and through collaboration with area school districts and performing arts groups, services, and individuals, access to the performing arts is made possible. These programs will provide a direct, positive impact to the North Country.

Community Collaboration

“A community that is engaged and working together can be a powerful force” Idowu Koyenikan

HarmoNNY seeks to stimulate the enjoyment of the performing arts for general audiences, community members, supporters, appreciators, students, and artists of all backgrounds through shared experiences. This is done through the participation in the performing arts and the development of musical and artistic opportunities by working together with area performing arts groups and related parties, individuals, and resources.

Any investment in HarmoNNY is an investment in not only the performing arts, but the people within the Northern New York community. We appreciate any support you may be able to provide, whether as a volunteer, a performing arts supporter, or as a financial donor.
